The Best Brushes for
Hard Lines in Murals

One important aspect of life at Zibra is supporting artists and bolstering the community that has developed around our brand over the past couple of years. This month, we put a spotlight on Kyle Mosher (KyleMosher.com), a Charlotte, NC-based artist who expertly bridges fine art traditions with contemporary culture. Kyle’s work as a muralist, artist, and illustrator can be found across large-scale murals, collectible fine art prints, and collaborations with major brands.

Kyle uses Zibra brushes daily across projects ranging from massive exterior murals to intimate studio pieces. And what people might not know is that we take artist feedback on our brushes seriously. So, when Kyle (or any artist we hear from!) has an idea to help us refine our tools, we listen to ensure Zibra brushes perform at the highest level for artists everywhere.

Why Tools Matter

Kyle’s murals are defined by bold, clean lines and crisp edges — features that are at the core of Zibra’s line of brushes. When Kyle needs to deliver consistency at scale, he turns to us and our detail brushes, like the Square Brush, Triangle Brush, and Artist Brushes.

"I use a lot of hard lines in my murals, so my tools have to perform under pressure," Kyle explains. "The brushes need to be durable, the lines need to stay sharp, and they have to keep up with how fast I paint. Zibra brushes hold a ton of paint in their filaments, which means I can cover more surface without constantly reloading. That efficiency makes a huge difference when you’re working on large walls."

By combining durability, precision, and paint capacity, Zibra brushes allow Kyle to maintain his signature style — no matter the scale of the project.

Looking Ahead

Zibra loves collaborating with artists across the country and is excited to support Kyle as he continues to expand his reach both nationally and internationally. He finds that his partnership with Zibra is a key part of that journey — showing how the right tools can empower creativity and push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Follow Kyle’s work on Instagram at @thekylemosher.

If you’re trying Zibra brushes for the first time, don’t forget to thoroughly clean them using soap, water, and the Zibra Paintbrush Cleaning Tool to remove any paint residue. Proper maintenance ensures your brushes remain in top condition for future projects.

And don’t forget to share your murals with us on social media, using @zibrapainting and inspire others on their painting journey! Want more tips and tricks? Sign up for our mailing list. Happy painting!
