A fun project to create after a trip to the beach!
Supplies
Oyster shell.
Acrylic paint.
Zibra Round Paintbrush.
Step 1
Get creative with your design - so many options will work with these shells.
Using my round Zibra brush for the rounded surfaces I am painting.
More coats of paint for a more saturated/opaque look.
Step 2
Brushing a thin coat of paint on the shell surface results in a pretty, transparent look where you see some of the shell's natural color.
The inside of the shell would also be pretty with a pearlescent or high gloss paint.
Step 3
Spray with a clear coat to protect from chipping.
So many possibilities for the use of these shells around your home.
Finishing Touches
Soap, jewelry, or hair ties fill the oyster shell adding a sweet reminder of a beach trip to your vanity and dressing table!
