Whether you're a seasoned furniture flipper or a weekend DIYer, the right paintbrush makes all the difference. Over the years, I’ve tested more brushes than I can count, and I keep coming back to a few tried-and-true favorites. These five brushes help me tackle every nook, curve, and flat surface without breaking (too much of) a sweat.

1. Palm Pro – Ergonomic Paint Brush

The Palm Pro is my all-time favorite. It's the most comfortable brush to hold and work with. I use it to apply both paint and paint washes. The angled edge helps me create clean lines and cut into hard-to-reach areas. And Zibra recently launched their newest version of this brush — the Palm Flex, which is the same awesome design, but made more comfortable and flexible with a rubber handle!

2. 2" Chiseled Wedge – Smooth Operator for Big Surfaces

The 2" Chiseled Wedge paintbrush holds a good amount of paint for the larger flat surfaces on furniture. The flat edge helps me glide the paint on smoothly and evenly while the chiseled edge lets me get into corners and tight edges.

3. Round Brush – Detail Work’s Best Friend

The Round Paintbrush is my go-to for spindles and smaller curved areas on furniture. It’s the perfect size to use on ornate details with just the right amount of paint. And Zibra JUST launched its new Round The Corner Kit  that includes a 1” Pointed Round Paintbrush, ½” Round Paintbrush, and ¼” Round Paintbrush — it’s a great kit to cover all curve sizes!

4. Oval Brush – Power + Precision

The Oval and Wax Paintbrush holds more paint than the Round, which makes it handy for larger furniture legs and curved details. It glides the paint on smoothly and covers the whole surface quickly and fully.

5. Top Coat Brush – Flawless Finishes Every Time

I love how easily product glides on with this Top Coat Paintbrush, giving me a brush-stroke-free finish every time. Zibra also offers a Top Coat Paintbrush Kit, which includes three of these killer brushes in different sizes.

Good brushes can be total game changers. Whether you’re aiming for flawless finishes or just want to make the furniture flipping process more enjoyable, investing in the right ones pays off every time.

Don’t Forget to Clean Your Brushes!

When your project is complete and you’re ready to thoroughly clean your brushes, use soap, water, and the Zibra Paintbrush Cleaning Tool to remove any paint residue. Proper maintenance ensures your brushes remain in top condition for future projects!
