Tips

Cover the floor and furnishings in case of accidental spills.

It’s always best to paint with newly purchased paint. If you are using paint that has been stored, consider taking it back to the retail/dealer that you purchased from to have it reshaken. If you have a drill, use a paint mixer attachment to properly stir paint.

Depending on the condition of the paint after storage, consider adding a conditioner to provide optimum results. Contact the paint manufacturer for a recommended conditioner for your type of paint.

It is important to consider humidity and temperatures before starting any paint project. Moderate conditions are essential to a successful painting experience. In most areas, this means late Spring and early Fall. Too much humidity or too hot and dry will affect the outcome or the job.
